“Make Way for the King!” What a shout of acclamation, and yet John the Baptist  doubted and asked silent questions whether the Messiah – Jesus Christ  – would really come as the promised One according to Matthew 11:2-10: “Are you the one who is to come, or should we expect someone else?”. Jesus responded to John and confirmed that indeed he is the King of kings, the Saviour promised long ago: Jesus replied, “Go back and report to John what you hear and see: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor. Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me.” Let’s take courage and simply believe in these words!
