The Return of the Prodigal Son – a painting by Rembrandt and a classic story in the Bible (Luke 15:11-32). The story speaks volumes, and a picture tells sometimes more than thousand words. Hanna and Bastian held a double sermon on 9 Februray and 2 March 2014. We invited everyone to reflect on the painting and draw conclusions of the story for our own lives by the help of excerpts of Henri J.M. Nouwen’s book. The focus was on the Father and his two sons – the younger one who had returned home and the elder one who had stayed home. We shared the text in full during the sermons, but if you missed it out, you may obtain a summary on Prezi (BF).
