Baptised into Christ
John the Baptist baptised people to repentance in the time of his days, as long as he stayed alive. He encouraged people to repent and mend their ways of sinfulness. John the Baptist proclaimed the coming of the Messiah. John the Baptist saw Christ coming, and then baptised Jesus with water in river Jordan, along with other people. Soon after that Jesus baptised people as well, first with water and then, a few years later, with his blood shed on the cross. Jesus baptism delivers people from the deadly state of sin, and liberates everyone willing into a new life of “righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit” (Romans 14:17).
